Description

Our teak wood mugs and cups are handcrafted and designed between Ubud (Bali) and Java (island located between Sumatra and Bali). Indochina teak, Tectona grandis, (or Djati in Indonesian) originates from the island of Java.

You will appreciate its unique appearance and its sumptuous shades of dark brown to beige, but also for the good energies it exudes.

Djati is a very popular exotic wood appreciated for its elegance. Majestic, it is also a sustainable material from forests controlled and protected by the Indonesian government. This is one of the reasons why it is less available in the West.

The provenance of our teak wood objects has therefore been controlled and have been imported in compliance with Javanese laws and the ecosystem of the forest whose wood used is native.

The wood of our objects has been nourished piece by piece beforehand with natural beeswax by Gus de. Regarding the mugs, cups and cutlery: they have already been coated with a natural edible varnish by me, so your object is ready to use as soon as it is received.
